i'd like to add that the shadow color isnt necessarily dictated entirely by the primary light source, but the bounce light! so for the example of a sunny environment, the reason the shadows are blue are because of the light from the blue sky reflects across the environment; but, if the character were to be under tree cover, the bounce light would be coming from the leaves and thus the shadow would look greener.

Anyways, I think if Carl was an ACTUAL Magic the Gathering card, he would be some form of Mardu with Princess Doughnut being Bant so we get all five colors for a WUBRG deck of a monstrosity solely based off of combat, ping damage, and big charm. That or Carl is Rakdos and Doughnut is White to make Mardu! (The amount of boardwipes that could go in this....)
They would be partner comanders with some other legendary creatures being Mordecai (Mardu spell slinging) fellow other crawlers (Britney, Louis, and Firas being three) and ex crawlers from Book 7 ❤️
I think that the commanders could vary for each deck and there are a lot of "Partner With" abilities...
there would be three other decks, acting like this is a new set release.
Ellie (Azourius) and Immani (Selesnya) make up MedowLark: A Bant spellslinger, creature tapping, creature buffing deck. Another Partner Deck!
Katia can be the face commander for the third deck. I think she would be Dimir casting cost with a Green/Black/Blue activated ability that lets her turn into some creature type that benefits creatures of that type during a turn (MAYBE)- A brand new solid Sultai tribal commander.... OR Katia can have TWO cards!! This one is just a pack pull and she gets like. Mono black to go with Carl and Doughnut
Then the fourth and Final once can be the "enemies" deck, so the set up is very alike Dr. Who's set up with three good guys and one bad guys deck. It might have to be WUBRG (all Color) with some devoid where the commander is the System AI that lets you search for a land like Golos, Tireless Pilgrim upon entering, then it has modal activated abilities that you pay for similar to Kenrith, the Returned King.
I might work on these more at work... or I might not! It just depends, lol!
(And yeah, I can make them. I made my own bases and customs on the regular... I MIGHT be a big nerd :sob:)
